VOTER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Registration Deadline. 28 days before the election.

Note: The state of Missouri does not accept voter registration applications completed on xerox weight paper. Only applications that have been completed on specified heavy card stock are considered acceptable for processing.

Line 6: ID Number. The last four digits of your social security number are required unless no social security number exists. (§115.155, RSMO) Any electronic media, printouts or mailing labels provided under this section shall not include the telephone numbers and social security numbers of voters. (§115.157, RSMO)

Line 7: Choice of Party. You do not have to register with a party if you want to take part in that party’s primary election, caucus, or convention.

Line 8: Race or Ethnic Group. Leave blank.

Line 9: Signature. To register in Missouri you must:

1) be a citizen of the United States; 2) be a resident of Missouri; 3) be at least 17-1/2 years of age (you must be 18 to vote); 4) not be on probation or parole after conviction of a felony, until finally discharged from such probation or parole; 5) not be convicted of a felony or misdemeanor connected with the right of suffrage; 6) not be adjudged incapacitated by any court of law; 7) not be confined under a sentence of imprisonment.
