Line 7: Choice of Party. You must register with a party if you want to take part in that party’s primary election, caucus, or convention.
Line 8: Race or Ethnic Group. Leave blank.
Line 9: Signature. To register in Rhode Island you must:
1) be a citizen of the United States; 2) be a resident of Rhode Island for 30 days preceding the next election; 3) be 18 years old by election day; 4) be neither serving a sentence, including probation or parole, for which you were imprisoned, upon final conviction of a felony imposed on any date; nor serving any sentence, whether incarcerated or suspended, on probation or parole, upon final conviction of a felony committed after November 5, 1986; 5) not have been lawfully judged to be mentally incompetent.
