VOTER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Registration Deadline. 15 days before the election.
Line 6: ID Number. Your driver’s license number is requested.
Line 7: Choice of Party. You must register with a party if you want to take part in that party’s primary election, caucus, or convention.
Line 8: Race or Ethnic Group. Leave blank.
Line 9: Signature. To register in South Dakota you must:
1) be a citizen of the United States; 2) reside in South Dakota; 3) be 18 years old by the next election; 4) not be under a sentence of imprisonment for a felony conviction; 5) not have been adjudged mentally incompetent by a court.
