This is the nation's only pro-life
prayer service within the precincts of the United States Capitol
building. It is a one and a half hour long prayer service
involving ministers from many denominations, traditions and
faith communities.
The National Memorial for the
Pre-Born and their Mothers and Fathers is sponsored by the
National Pro-Life Religious Council, the National Clergy
Council, Faith and Action, Priests for Life and Catholics United
for Life.
All are invited to attend and any recognized
minister is invited to participate in the reading of the
prayers.
Participants are asked, when applicable, to
wear appropriate clergy vestments and symbols. The prayers and
Scripture passages will be printed, distributed and assigned to
each participant. You will not be asked to share extemporaneous
prayers or words.
Evangelical, Catholic, Protestant and even
Jewish clergy have participated and have been inspiring
witnesses to the sanctity of human life. This service is very
important at this historic period in our nation's history.
Any clergy that want to participate
should contact Christa at christa@priestsforlife.org or at
202-543-1511 with your name, address, telephone number, and
email and church/ministry affiliation.
